Chapter 120: Nothing can beat the feeling of changing your leaves overnight!

Autumn in Shanghai lasts three long days and comes in … April. Most trees keep their crown intact and green through the long wet winter and drop their leaves all at once during the Three-Days-April-Autumn. Dropping is actually a wrong word. Shanghai trees do not drop their leaves. They rather swop their leaves. While old leaves are falling down – the new ones emerge out of nowhere – fully grown and evergreen.

I feel like a Shanghai tree. Three days ago – a girl with no purpose. Today – smoking free, alcohol free, almost 30 pounds lighter and counting, developing and marketing Perfect Tights and Art of Fat War Weight Loss System!

Moving forward is difficult at times and I stand in my own way quite a lot (which are two downsides of being a tree). But nothing by far can beat the feeling of changing your leaves almost overnight!
